About Axis

Therapy as one of the most meaningful forms of human work.

Axis was created around a simple conviction: that at its best, therapy is not just problem-solving or symptom reduction, but a thoughtful, evolving conversation that helps people understand themselves more deeply and live with greater freedom, intention, and connection.

Our philosophy

People have an inherent capacity for growth.

Therapy offers a space not only to cope with suffering, but to rediscover creativity, purpose, emotional connection, and a more authentic way of being in the world.

The work asks a great deal — courage, honesty, vulnerability — and because of that, we hold it with care. We pay close attention to the relationship itself, because meaningful change tends to grow from trust, curiosity, and genuine human understanding.

We're not interested in a one-size-fits-all approach. Each person's story, strengths, and aspirations are different, and care at Axis is shaped around them.

What we value

Five things that shape how we practice

  • Depth

Looking beneath the surface to understand what patterns mean and where they came from.

  • Humanity

Meeting you as a whole person — with warmth, respect, and without judgment.

  • Curiosity

Approaching your inner life with openness rather than easy answers.

  • Balance

Holding emotional safety alongside insight and honest, caring challenge.

  • Becoming

Therapy as an ongoing process of growth — not just a fix for a problem.

A note from our founder

On the care we hope to offer

Headshot coming soon

“In my view, the quality of psychotherapy emerges not only from training and technique, but from the therapist's capacity for presence, thoughtfulness, emotional honesty, and genuine human connection.

At Axis, we've tried to build a practice where that kind of care can happen — where every person who comes to us feels genuinely understood, thoughtfully challenged, and meaningfully supported throughout the process of change. If that resonates with you, we'd welcome a conversation.”
